The Practice:

My focus is on helping you identify and shift unproductive patterns so you can move forward more thoughtfully and effectively.

Every client brings a unique history, set of needs, and vision for their life. That’s why no two sessions look exactly alike. What you can always expect, however, is:

A relaxed and collaborative space in Richmond, VA

Therapy works best as a partnership. You bring the expertise on your own life; I bring the clinical tools and perspective. Together we work towards the change you’re looking for.

Treatment personalized to you

Your goals, your pace, your process. Rather than trying to squeeze you into a rigid framework, sessions are shaped around what you actually need. Whether exploring the past, navigating the present, or preparing for the future, sessions are flexible and able to accommodate your shifting needs over the course of treatment.

Evidence-based techniques

Drawing from EMDR, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy, sessions are grounded in approaches that work. These aren't techniques applied randomly, but are used with intention based on what you're working through and where you are in the process.

A place where hard things feel easier to say

Topics that feel might feel overwhelming or too complicated to put into words elsewhere tend to feel more manageable here. There’s no judgement and no topic that’s off the table.

Clinical expertise is the foundation of good therapy, but human connection between you and your therapist matters too. Here’s a sense of who you’d be working with:

In the Office

Clients have described my style as warm, involved, curious, and attentive. I believe you are far more than the difficulties that you bring to therapy, and I’m genuinely honored to be present for the hard moments and meaningful milestones alike. In an increasingly remote world, I value the depth that in-person session can offer, and strive to create a space where you truly feel understood.

Outside of Work

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me at a concert, experimenting in the kitchen, working in the garden, training my dog, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, or spending time outdoors around Richmond.
